Here is the unannounced Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2

Just like the previous Galaxy Tab Active tablet, the unannounced Galaxy Tab Active 2 comes with a stylus, which suggests Samsung, once again, wishes to target the business segment. Also known as Samsung SM-T390 / SM-T395, the rugged slate is likely to be unveiled in a matter of weeks.

More than dozen pictures of the tablet have been recently leaked out, along with some of the Galaxy Tab Active 2's technical specs. But let's start with what the slab looks like since there's not much to tell.

The Galaxy Tab Active 2 looks almost the same as the original model. Apparently, Samsung wants to make sure that all the accessories that were suitable for the Galaxy Tab Active will be fully compatible with the sequel.

Specs-wise, the tablet sports an 8-inch display with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution. The panel includes a Wacom digitizer making it easier to take advantage of the S Pen's advanced features.

Under the hood, there's an octa-core Samsung Exynos 7880 processor, paired with 3GB RAM and 16GB expandable storage (up to 256GB). The tablet is IP68-certified and can be equipped with a wide range of business accessories.

It's got the same 4,450 mAh battery as the previous model but packs a better 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and 5-megapixel selfie snapper. There's also a fingerprint sensor under the home button, on the front side.

It looks like Samsung packed quite a lot of connectivity features inside, including NFC (Near Field Communications), dual-band Wi-Fi, LTE support, USB Type-C and Bluetooth 4.2. The Galaxy Tab will come in two variations: Wi-Fi only and LTE.

Finally, the Galaxy Tab Active 2 will run Android 7.1 Nougat operating system right out of the box, but we hope Samsung is going to bring Oreo on it soon after launch.
